the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and

Let's remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the 7 ^& Z3 ]" f# `- ~
banner of the Republican Party to the White House, a party founded on the

8 M2 x- z5 j" J' ~: L$ ?: n7 l9 sThose are values that we all share. And while the Democratic Party has won
) ~# n4 C% ], s# c4 M* \a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and

( Z0 z, b. {- n9 u# C9 [She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars

When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she

there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved.

A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in Berlin, a world was * a9 \7 P5 H9 ]* k9 a
connected by our own science and imagination.

% s N/ g8 j/ C/ L6 t; f1 SAnd this year, in this election, she touched her finger to a screen, and
